Center for HPV infection control has been opened

Cervical cancer is an insidious disease that can develop without any symptoms for years. In theory no woman should not suffer from cervical cancer. The cervix is easily accessible to examination, and all abnormal changes can be detected and treated at a time. Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer in women younger than 45 years and the third leading cause of death for women after breast and lung cancer. Even in developed countries with established screening program for early detection of cervical cancer, women have still died from this disease.

The Institute "NALAZ" established the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of HPV infection. Thanks to powerful diagnostics used in the Institute, HPV infection can be detected before the appearance of morphological signs. Viral activity can be determined as well, its peaceful, benign state, and the transition to an invasive form and development of cancer.

Institute "NALAZ " is the only center in the region that performs all diagnostic methods for detection of virus infection, of which the most important are real-time PCR and NASBA.
